Title: Investigations of the Mummy Disease
Author: L.R. Kneebone
Beginning in 1955 and continuing to the present, research work on the mummy disease has proceeded at The Pennsylvania State University under Agricultural Experiment Station Project 756 entitled “Nutrition, Development, and Pathology of Commercial Mushrooms”. The author of this paper did some of the earlier work in 1955 and 1956 but since that time the work has been done largely by E. L. Merek (1957, 1958) (4) and C. M. Gibson (1958, 1959) (2), with the author serving as supervisor of their thesis researches on various aspects of the mummy disease. Annual Progress Reports on this research are filed in the Office of the Pennsylvania Agricultural Experiment Station and have been presented at public meetings of mushroom growers and at the annual Mushroom Industry Short Course held each June at the University. Please login to download the PDF for this proceeding.
