The cultivation of mushrooms on experimental scale started in 1961 in India, however, commercialization of the industry was established in 1968. Since then the mushroom industry has been threatened by the occurrence of a number of pathogens and competitors. Thapa and Seth (1986) recorded the pathogen for the first time from Himachal Pradesh, India. The losses recorded were to the tune of 20-60 percent forcing some of the growers to close their farms.Please login to download the PDF for this proceeding.
