Title: Substrate Additives for Earlier and Double Production of Stropharia rugosoannulata
Authors: J. Poppe and G. Sedeyn

Abstract:

Extensive Strophana-culture on pressed straw m open air is very cheap but the production is irregular, often infected with insects and mites, and there is no yield during six months from half autumn to half spring.

Indoor culture on grinded straw is somewhat more intensive but is mostly very capricious, late and low in fructification, and not covering the production costs.

Only preparing richer substrates with efficient additives can result in a rational cultivation technique. To find a cheap additive that results m a remarkable earlier and more intensive fructification was the highest trial of this research work.
