Title: Naturalization of Several Saprophytic Mushrooms under Rice-Straw-Culture

In the course of our studies of fungal food production by use of waste materials resulted from agriculture and live-stock, several saprophytic species of the wild edible mushrooms were tested for bottle- and box-culture with rice-straws, and further experiments were conducted on the effect of chicken excrements as an additional nutrient for mushroom culture. The present paper includes the results of our experiments on the selected mushroom species and their cultural conditions, with special reference to the mushroom production of Pholiota adiposa (Fr.) Quel., the species which was proved to be most practically applicable among the mushroom species tested.
