Abstract:
There are many mushrooms capable of accumulating metals in their fruitbodies. In case of cultivated species, under controlled conditions, it is possible to enhance the level of certain elements that are essential for the human body by adding them to the substrate. Our goal was to examine the zinc, manganese and selenium accumulation capability of a P. eryngii strain.
