Abstract:
Endophyte fungus strains were isolated and pure cultured from Scots pine root tips grown in organic soil in western Finland. The 130 fungus strains were sequenced (ITS1/ITS4) and they belonged to ten different fungus species. Water extracts of the fungal mycelium were tested for their antioxidant properties with H2O2 scavenging test. Also a new microplate technique was used for the rapid real-time screening of antioxidant and antimicrobial properties from extracts and fractions using a recombinant Escherichia coli DPD2511 and DPD2794 biosensors.
